Description
FAST-MT CHIMERA-9 is a modular helmet for airsoft and gelsoft, designed to protect the head, face, and ears from BB and gel ball impacts. The design is based on the standard FAST helmet platform and can be extended with four interchangeable accessory sets, allowing the helmet to be adapted to any loadout or playstyle.
Kit includes:
- Base FAST helmet
- Adapter and RIS rail set for mounting accessories
- Tactical "cat ears" — a cosmetic customization piece
- Mandible attachment for additional lower-face protection
- RAC-style ear cups (mock active hearing protection)
- Several NVG (night vision goggle) mount versions
Printing recommendations:
To ensure sufficient strength and protective properties, the helmet should be printed with a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm or greater. Compatible materials: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA.
Testing:
The helmet's protective performance has been verified through live-fire testing with an RX AK-102 replica at a muzzle velocity of 80 m/s, fired from a distance of 20 cm. The helmet withstood the impact without penetration or structural failure.
